The Cathedral Close is private property so permission to film, record or photograph is required ahead of time.

Drone Photography and Filming
Salisbury Cathedral Close is a residential area, used continuously by the public and schools, and there are peregrines (a protected species) nesting on the Cathedral Tower. For those reasons, you are not permitted to use a drone or unmanned aircraft for recreational or photographic purposes within the Close without specific permission.
