Seasonal Visitor Assistant – Part time, temporary

Salisbury Cathedral is a world-famous place of worship and an iconic building at the heart of the city of Salisbury, attracting thousands of people every year.

There is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and experienced team this summer. We need additional support to ensure that the Cathedral offers a consistently warm and open welcome to everyone who visits.

We are looking to fill a part time role of varying shifts during the daytime. Please see the job description for shift times, hours will be agreed at interview. Weekday and weekend availability is essential.

Initially we are looking for cover from late May-beginning of June to the end of  October.

Weekend Chapter House Welcomer – part time, temporary.

Salisbury Cathedral is a world-famous place of worship and an iconic building at the heart of the city of Salisbury, attracting thousands of people every year.

There is an exciting opportunity to join our team and welcome visitors to the Chapter House and Magna Carta exhibition.

We are looking to a fill part time role working 2 weekends out of 4 on a rolling rota. The hours will be Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 12:00-16:00.

Sickness and holiday cover is essential.

The contract will be fixed term until the end of October 2024.

Head of Communications – Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for a Head of Communications, this role will ensure all Cathedral communications align with the Cathedral’s strategic priorities and values. The successful candidate will be innovative, driven and able to lead on media management, advise senior managers on strategy and oversee the development of the Cathedral’s communication and marketing strategies.

Verger – Full time, permanent

We are seeking to appoint a full-time verger to join our Vestry Team. This is a rewarding, interesting, and complex role, suited to a compassionate, hard-working, and flexible individual.
