Secret Songs of Scripture
Resonating with the Cathedral’s 2026 theme of Joyful Noise, this year’s summer sermons celebrate the ‘Secret Songs of Scripture’. The Secret Songs are verses hidden within the text of the Bible and which either once circulated as independent poetry or hymns, or which have subsequently been shaped into canticles by later editors. Across eight weeks we will explore four from the Hebrew Scriptures and four from the New Testament.
