Salisbury Cathedral is currently recruiting the following role;

The Bishop of Salisbury invites applications for the post of Precentor.
The Precentor oversees the Cathedral’s worship and leads the Liturgy and Music Department.
A member of Chapter and the Executive Team, the Precentor shares with others collegial responsibility for the Cathedral’s common life and for the delivery of its strategic plan.
It is an exciting time to join this community, whose aim is to make a difference for God through exceptional worship and outreach.
The successful candidate will be a person of prayer and a confident and creative liturgist who is proactive and innovative, who is able to lead and enthuse others, and who will work fruitfully with a diverse range of people and organisations.

We are seeking to contract an experienced professional to advise on the condition of Close Properties.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working on the conservation, alteration and adaptation for alternative use of historic buildings.
We are looking for a candidate with an understanding of historic construction and repair methods and experience in the preparation of planning applications.
