Opening Times

If you would like to join us in worship please click here for scheduled service listings - if you are planning a sight seeing visit, we recommend booking in advance to guarantee entry at your time of choice.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Salisbury Cathedral and the Close.   Please note that the Cathedral is a living church and during your visit you may witness stage builds, rehearsals for concerts, services and weddings.   You may hear our Choristers rehearsing for Evensong or our Organist practicing.  We do not close the Cathedral for weddings or funerals so you may come across these during your time with us.  Please see here with regard to closures and further information.  Once a month our famous Willis Organ needs to be tuned, please see here for the dates.

Monday to Saturday

There are bookable entry slots every 15 minutes from 09:30 to 16:00.  You can enter up to 15 minutes after your time slot. The latest you will be able to enter the Cathedral is 16:15 and all visitors will need to leave by 17:00.

Tower Tours are scheduled daily Monday - Saturday at 11:15 and 14:15 - there are free demonstrations and tours scheduled throughout the week, details about these can be found here.
