Tour Information
A unique opportunity to discover more about the history of Salisbury Cathedral through its collection of beautiful and intricately stitched ecclesiastical textiles. Featuring altar frontals, kneelers and wall hangings, some dating back as early as circa 17th century.
A knowledgeable guide will reveal the history and fascinating stories behind our collection while also, offering an opportunity to get up close, to fully appreciate the skills of the embroiderers who created them.
For a limited time, the tour will finish with an opportunity to see our embroiderers working on an original textile ‘The Circle of Life’, using needlework called Opus Anglicanum dating back to 13th century.
Tours run on Mondays at 14:00 and last approximately 60 minutes.

Adult: £16 when pre-booked online (£18 walk-up)
Ticket includes day admission to Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta
Book online in advance for cheaper ticket prices. Tickets may be available for tours on the day at a higher rate, however tours are often booked up in advance so we cannot guarantee you will be able to book onto a tour on the day.
