Festal Evensong is a choral service of Evensong marking a festival in the church calendar. The choir will sing the responses, canticles, psalms and an anthem; there will also be congregational hymns. The music, prayers and readings will be chosen to reflect the festival being celebrated in the church specifically on this day. The service usually lasts around 50 minutes.
