We hope you enjoy your visit to Salisbury Cathedral and the Close.   Please note that the Cathedral is a living church and during your visit you may witness stage builds, rehearsals for concerts, services and weddings.   You may hear our Choristers rehearsing for Evensong or our Organist practicing.  We do not close the Cathedral for weddings or funerals so you may come across these during your time with us.  Please see here with regard to closures and further information.  Once a month our famous Willis Organ needs to be tuned, please see here for the dates.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we've reduced the number of people we can welcome at one time. You'll need to book your visit in advance - tickets are currently released 6 weeks in advance.
For the ultimate experience consider booking one of our fascinating Tower Tours where you and up to 5 friends can climb to the base of our famous spire for spectacular views!
We depend on income from visitors to raise the £14,000 it costs daily to maintain this incredible building and open it to the public.
