Visit

Please note the Cathedral, Refectory and Gift Shop are currently closed we hope to reopen on 17 May.
With breathtaking views, Britain’s tallest spire and original 1215 Magna Carta, Salisbury Cathedral is one of England’s ‘must-see’ historical attractions.

Learn the incredible story of the Cathedral that moved (two whole miles eight centuries ago!) and explore our amazing contemporary art exhibition with 20 works by Grayson Perry, Antony Gormley and Henry Moore to name a few.

Then admire this medieval masterpiece from our tranquil lawns or step into the countryside and enjoy a riverside walk in the picturesque park nearby.

Its just a 10-minute walk from Salisbury Train Station, a 20-minute drive from Stonehenge and a 1.5 hour journey from London.

We've reduced the number of people we welcome at one time for everyone’s safety so you'll need to book your visit in advance (especially if you want to guarantee entry). Watch the video below to learn about our COVID-19 safety measures.
