One of the most popular fixtures in our festive calendar, Handel’s Messiah returns with the full Cathedral Choir joined by the City of London Sinfonia and four distinguished soloists: Rebecca Hardwick, Hugh Cutting, Michael Bell and Božidar Smiljanić.

David Halls, our Director of Music, conducts. He says:
“The genius of Handel and Jennens, in knitting together biblical texts and challenging evocative music, is to create a work which tells a complex story of hope and fear, longing and yearning, and judgement and comfort, a rich and varied evocation of God’s love.”
