Date with Nature

Dates 06 Jun 2023 - 30 Jun 2023

Witness our peregrine juveniles as they learn to fly

Visit Salisbury Cathedral over the month of June as the RSPB South Wilts Local Group runs Date with Nature to share some of the wonders of nature with the public.

RSPB volunteers will be hosting this year’s Peregrine Date with Nature from Tuesday 6 June until Friday 30 June.

The gazebo will have pictures of Peregrines and information about them, and volunteers will answer questions and give members of the public, including children and visitors from all over the world, the chance to have amazing, close-up views of adult and juvenile Peregrines through superb RSPB telescopes.

Telescopes are manned by the group from about 11.00 to 16.00. There’s plenty of action to see, including fledging, which is when the juvenile Peregrines take to the air on their maiden flights!

Look out for the Date with Nature gazebo right by the Cloisters entrance to the Cathedral on the following dates:
Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 June
Monday 13 to Friday 16 June
Monday 19 to Friday 23 June
Monday 26 to Friday 30 June, except Wednesday.

This event is free.
