Sarum Lights to return to Salisbury Cathedral this November with a magnificent new light show from Luxmuralis

Salisbury Cathedral will premiere a brand-new light show from Luxmuralis this November, when Sarum Lights: Great Journeys runs from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 November. Tickets for the week-long event are now on sale, with more than twelve thousand people expected to enjoy the event.
Sarum Lights: Great Journeys, supported by Trethowans, will feature viking longboats, maps, animal migration and famous voyages, transforming both the exterior and interior of the Cathedral with moving projections, dynamic soundscapes and spectacular light, across the medieval building’s architecture.
The show will take visitors from the earliest movements of humanity to the journeys of animals, from ancient maps to modern transport, and from epic adventures across the world to the personal journeys made through an individual’s life.
The show comes to a cinematic climax as the main nave of the Cathedral is transformed into an epic celebration of movement, life, and human connection. An original soundscape and breathtaking large-scale projections will present a whistle-stop journey around the world, from the rush and rhythm of modern life to the places, people and the communities that are connected.

Sarum Lights: Great Journeys runs from Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 November 2026 at Salisbury Cathedral from 5.30pm each evening, with 15-minute timed entry slots available. Tickets start from £10 for adults and £6 for children. They can be purchased from www.salisburycathedral.org.uk. The Cathedral Shop and Refectory will be open during Sarum Lights, offering early Christmas present ideas and refreshments.
Low sound screenings for those visitors who would welcome a quieter experience will be available from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 November.
