The Refectory

On the site of the old Plumber’s yard, our glass roofed restaurant offers fantastic views of the tallest spire in the country soaring some 123 metres above. View our multimedia gallery here.

Open Mondays to Saturdays   09.30 - 17.30 Sundays 09.30 - 17.00 ( last orders 15mins before closing time)

From 09.30 every morning we offer a selection of homemade cakes, traybakes, freshly baked scones and pastries with aromatic fair-trade coffee. Between 12 noon and 14.00 you can enjoy a choice of two homemade soups, a selection of deli style sandwiches, toasties and paninis or for those hungier souls we offer hot pork baguettes or two hot dishes of the day with a selection of fresh homemade salads. On Sundays we serve a traditional roast lunch with fresh seasonal vegetables and potatoes. From 14.00 to 17.15 you can choose from a selection of homemade cakes and traybakes, freshly baked scones with homemade jam and clotted cream all washed down with a pot of fresh leaf tea. We also have a great new Kids Bites pick and mix selection for our younger customers.

 

We are very mindful of our customers with dietary requirements and allergens. Our soups are gluten free (some are dairy free) and gluten free bread is available (some bakery items are gluten free too). If you are unsure or have any specfic requirements please phone ahead of your visit to check with a member of staff.
