The Refectory

Opened in May 2000 on the site of the old Plummer’s yard our glass roofed restaurant offers fantastic views of the tallest spire in the country soaring some 123 meters above. This unique glassed roof restaurant provides a wonderful space in which to relax, meet up with friends and enjoy great food & drinks .We offer a self-service buffet selection of homemade cakes & pastries throughout the day, Fair-trade coffee, fresh leaf tea and homemade sandwiches, homemade soup with plenty more besides.

The Refectory is open every day of the year apart from Christmas Day from 9.30 to 5.30pm (last orders 5.15pm) and until 5pm on Sundays.

The Refectory is entirely accessible for disabled visitors and we do accept dogs accompanying deaf & blind visitors

The Refectory also makes a stunning venue for private functions, whether it be  available to hire for corporate hospitality, private dinners , presentations and receptions along with the Chapter House it is available for private booking in the evening only.
