We look forward to welcoming you to the Cathedral’s ‘Darkness to Light’ services on Friday 30 November at 19.00 (doors open 18.00), Saturday 1 December at 19.00 (doors open at 18.00) and Sunday 2 December at 17.00 (doors open at 16.00). We have listened to the feedback and this year the services will be available to all as follows:
Friday – seats will be on a first-come, first-served basis in the Cathedral except for the Quire and Lower Presbytery, which will be specifically reserved for the Cathedral’s invited guests. There will be no other reserved seats except for Readers and Stewards involved in the service.
Saturday/Sunday – there will be no reserved seats except for Readers and Stewards, as before.
For all three services Please note that saving seats once in the Cathedral will not be permitted, so members of a group wishing to sit together will need to queue together. Please arrive in good time to be sure of getting in before the permitted capacity is reached. In any event, please be seated by 18.40 (Sunday 16.40).
Reserved spaces for wheelchair users There will be reserved spaces for wheelchair users plus one carer/companion in the South Transept. If you would like to reserve a wheelchair space and a seat for a carer/companion, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to ‘Darkness to Light’, Department of Liturgy and Music, Salisbury Cathedral, Wyndham House, 65 The Close, Salisbury, SP1 2EN, stating which day you would like to attend and giving your contact details. Parking is available for Disabled Badge Holders only, on a first-come, first-served basis.
