We are really looking forward to resuming public worship in Salisbury Cathedral after the current lockdown ends and are pleased to be able confirm our service arrangements for Advent and Christmas.
Our 2020 services will have to be very different from previous years and capacity will be greatly reduced but we will livestream our main Christmas services so that if you are unable join us in person, you will be able to join our worship wherever you are.
Advance booking for services is essential - a telephone helpline will also be available for those unable to book online (see booking details below).
The Very Revd. Nicholas Papadopulos, Dean of Salisbury said:
“There is no avoiding the necessity for our Christmas worship in 2020 to be very different from what all of us would expect in normal circumstances. The now-familiar requirements of hygiene and social distancing mean that many may not be able to worship with us in person. I regret this bitterly and ask for your understanding and co-operation as we attempt to be fair to all, and to make it possible for the maximum number of people possible to worship with us safely. We will livestream our principal services, so that if you are unable to secure a seat you can participate in our worship wherever you are.”
