Outreach Projects

Salisbury Cathedral manages and produces a number of outreach projects within the diocese each year and often works in partnership to increase the impact of this work with a wide range of ages and community groups. This work contributes directly to the Cathedrals objectives as set out in our Strategic plan.

We are proud of partnership work within the local community, delivering projects to and/or with groups as diverse as; Erlestoke Prison, Wiltshire MIND, The Richmond Fellowship, Alabare, Alzheimer’s Support, Carers Support Wiltshire and the Alzheimer’s Society.

We are committed to working alongside people who have experience of mental health needs, social isolation and homelessness and we run a number of projects through the year in support of this. The ‘Creative Connections Art and Wellbeing’ programme offers an opportunity for participants to visit the Cathedral and explore all that it has to offer and respond creatively through art, music and stone carving.

For details about the courses for 2019, please contact Leigh Chalmers, Outreach Project Manager on l.chalmers@salcath.co.uk or on 01722 555168.
