Learning and Outreach

Through our Learning and Outreach work we actively engage with the local community, working with local families and schools and giving children the opportunity to experience the life and history of the Cathedral.

We look creatively for new ways of providing opportunities for people of all ages to learn about the Christian faith and the Cathedral’s life and story and work with partners to respond to the growing societal challenge of mental health and well-being.

Through targeted work we will build on the relationships developed locally with care homes, those living with dementia, with special needs and with prisoners.

The Cathedral also has a significant role to play in highlighting national and local anniversaries.
