Over the course of 8 weeks prisoners from Erlestoke learned about life for ordinary people from different periods in time through archaeology and unearthed their own stories during creative workshops. The prisoners then created their own piece of ceramics depicting their story, which will be on display here during Prison’s Week.
'Unearthed' is a collaboration between The Mobile Museum, Hoodwink, Salisbury Cathedral and Erlestoke Prison’s Art department.
"I learnt a lot from the Unearthed project which was fun and interesting and brought back happy memories of times spent in Crete many, many years ago." - a participant from Erlestoke.
