Whether you have done stone carving before, or never even touched a chisel in your life, this course is open to all adults. An expert stonemason, whose daily job is to maintain Salisbury Cathedral’s beautiful medieval architecture, will teach you how to work as craftsmen of yesteryear did. Carve either a Celtic knot or a flower panel – the mason running the course will guide you every step of the way.
Limited spaces available. Both days start at 09.00 and finish at 16.45 on the Thursday and 15.45 on the Friday.
Courses are held outdoors but under cover and are priced at £195 for each two-day session during which you will be taught by the Cathedral’s own stone masons to carve either a flower panel or Celtic knot.
