O Lord, open thou our lips;
We shall if you sing our song!
Following on from the success of Evening Songs 2016, which attracted a congregation of 700, La Folia is delighted to present another ground-breaking Evensong service.
Cathedral choristers and students with special needs have joined together to share their musical and creative skills to devise something completely unique: an innovative Evensong service that represents each young person's highly individual response to the Christian Liturgy.
The service will be sung by the composers themselves, under the musical leadership of Howard Moody, working alongside tenor Mark Padmore, soprano Charlotte Shaw and visual artist Susan Francis.
La Folia is a music production company that brings together instrumentalists, singers, actors, dancers, visual artists and writers to create new music, original projects and ground-breaking performances.
Feedback from Evening Songs 2016:

"They weren't just singing it, they were living it." Member of the congregation
"I can't remember ever being quite so moved by the raw power of music." Jeff Moore, composer and violinist
