Choral Foundation Concert: Handel's Messiah with City of London Sinfonia
Handel's masterpiece, Messiah, was composed in 1741 and first performed in Dublin on 13 April 1742. It has become one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works of all time. Salisbury Cathedral Choir is joined by four distinguished soloists - Ruby Hughes, Robin Blaze, Thomas Walker and Stephan Loges - and the wonderful orchestra, the City of London Sinfonia, for what will be a memorable performance and a perfect preparation for Christmas.
