The familiar story of the birth of Jesus is told through readings from the Bible and other sources, through beautiful choral works sung by our Cathedral choir, and all the favourite carols. Come and join us for a very special start to the festive season which includes the blessing of our Christmas crib.
There are no tickets required for this service, everyone is welcome. Please note that saving seats once in the Cathedral will not be permitted, so members of a group wishing to sit together will need to queue together.
Reserved spaces for wheelchair users: There will be reserved spaces for wheelchair users plus one carer/companion in the South Transept. If you would like to reserve a wheelchair space and a seat for a carer/companion, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to ‘Carols by Candlelight’, Department of Liturgy and Music, Salisbury Cathedral, Wyndham House, 65 The Close, Salisbury, SP1 2EN, stating which day you would like to attend and giving your contact details.
