Busting Myths with Wessex Archaeology

Date:
Monday 28th October 2019
10:30 - 16:00
South Transept
Young people working on a Wessex Archaeology craft activity

This workshop will explore marine and terrestrial geoarchaeology. Building on core areas of the geography (rivers, settlements, sea level rise), you will learn about the methods we use to search for the remains of settlements deep beneath the land or sea, and how wind farm development is enabling archaeologists to rapidly discover more about the lives of our ancestors and discover ancient British settlements like Doggerland, now lost beneath the North Sea.

This event is free, no booking required.
