About the event
Tours take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from September until the end of November.
Got a head for heights? Fancy a trip up the scaffold at Salisbury Cathedral to see where vital restoration work is taking place?
For a limited time only, Salisbury Cathedral is offering exclusive Among the Parapets tours of the Cathedral scaffolding with Gary Price, Clerk of the Works or Lee Andrews, the Head Stonemason.
You can take a tour on your own or in your household/support bubble (maximum 4 people please) to ensure Covid-19 safety guidelines are upheld. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes and offers a unique chance to get a close up ‘mason’s eye-view’ of the beautiful east face of the building as it undergoes restoration. You will climb over the parapet and might even get to peek into the old glazing workshop behind the Moses window. This opportunity is only available whilst the current scaffolding is in place and cannot be replicated once it has gone. A unique, expert–led experience, which includes a special souvenir photograph.
Ticket: £300 (up to four people) with funds going to Salisbury Cathedral’s Recovery Appeal, helping the Cathedral’s life and work to continue in these difficult times following a critical loss of income during lockdown.
Please click on 'Book this event' at the bottom of the page to book your ticket, which covers up to 4 people within your bubble.
