A special return concert for a former Salisbury Cathedral organist

Renowned for his virtuosity, flair and interpretation of the French organ repertoire in particular, we welcome the acclaimed organist (and former Salisbury Assistant Organist) Colin Walsh as he performs a programme of works by Franck, Langlais, Saint-Saëns, Tournemire and Vierne, as well as the Introduction and Passacaglia by former Salisbury Cathedral Organist, Sir Walter Alcock.

Our 2022 Organ Festival celebrates the return of our Father Willis organ after extensive maintenance and restoration work throughout 2019. During this time, our organ was removed and serviced in Durham by renowned organ specialists, Harrison and Harrison, before returning to use in February 2020. This restoration project cost in excess of £750,000 and will allow the iconic Father Willis organ to continue to play flawlessly for years to come.
