Day Packages

Salisbury Cathedral offers a range of options for day visits for groups of 10+ offering value for money inclusive packages.  We have considerable experience working with group travel organisers, tour operators and Destination Management Companies to arrange bespoke tours and packages tailored to your specific itinerary (must be pre-booked).  A visit here is a perfect addition to any itinerary including Stonehenge, Salisbury or Wiltshire.

Access to the Cathedral from the Close is on the level and the Cathedral floor, Chapter House, Cloisters, Refectory Restaurant, Shop and toilets are fully wheelchair accessible. Three wheelchairs are available to borrow for use during your visit should you need them.  Read our full accessibility statement.

Standard Group Package £6.25 per person (minimum 10 people)

For all groups booking in advance we offer:
  • Free guiding from knowledgeable guides or a short introductory talk
  • Pre-order orientation leaflets in advance (available in 13 languages)
  • Foreign language guiding (French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese subject to availability)

​We advise allowing a minimum of 1 hour for this visit although it can take just 45 minutes for those on tight itineraries.


​Premier Package - £12.50 per person (minimum 10 people)

  • Free guided tour of the Cathedral
  • Quintessentially English cream tea in the Refectory Restaurant
  • 10% off in the Cathedral shop


Bespoke tours and packages

We can arrange bespoke tours and packages tailored to your itinerary.  They can include:

  • 'Meet and greet' upon arrival
  • Specialist guided tour of the Cathedral to include 'Behind the scenes' areas
  • Specialist talks - eg stonemasonry, music and worship, stained glass, art, embroidery 
  • Organ demonstration
  • Visit to the west window for uninterupted view from west to east (great photo opportunity!)
  • Displays eg copes, embroidery
  • Refreshments ranging from morning coffee through to private champagne reception in the Chapter House (evening only)


Special Interest Tours

Book one of our special interest tours where your guide will focus particularly on history, architecture, art (to coincide with temporary exhibitions/installations at the Cathedral).  


Guided Tours

Our tours are conducted by trained Cathedral Guides and include the Cathedral, Chapter House and Magna Carta. The tours can be timed to suit your timetable and tailored to your specific interests e.g. stained glass, architecture, embroidery, history.


Introductory Talks

If you are self-guiding but would like a short introductory talk, our guides would be only too happy to provide you with a short background history about the Cathedral.


Self-guided Talks

If you wish to self-guide, leaflets which highlight key points of interest in the Cathedral are available in English (including large print), German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
