Our 2014 Organ Recital Series concludes on Wednesday 8 October at 7.30pm with the annual Emery Recital. We will welcome the internationally-renowned recitalist Colin Andrews to the organ loft. Colin has toured widely as a solo recitalist, appearing at a number of the world’s most prestigious venues worldwide. The programme, which includes works by composers from London, Leipzig, and Paris, is entitled 'A Tale of Three Cities'. This is an excellent opportunity to hear a superb recitalist on our famous Father Willis Organ.
The Emery Recital is held in memory of Walter Emery, the famous Bach scholar who died in Salisbury in 1974. He had a great love of J. S. Bach, and Colin will be performing several works of Bach from the editions which Emery edited for Novello.
At this final recital in the 2014 series, there will be a live video link to the organ loft. Audience members in the Nave will be able to view Colin at work in the organ loft via a big screen.
Tickets, price £8.00, are available at the door.
