Magna Carta for Schools

Brand new children's online resource

As part of the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, Salisbury Cathedral has commissioned a brand new interactive resource for KS 1 and 2 children entitled Tales of Magna Carta. Working with designers and technicians from Herd Communications, the resource has four short animations re-telling the story of Magna Carta and King John and the legacy of the document today. With activities for the classroom, online interactives, children's resources and background information it supports teachers of the primary curriculum in History, PSHE, Citizenship. 

Salisbury Cathedral have also hosted a range of special programmes and one-off events for schools throughout the Magna Carta anniversary in 2015: Special Magna Carta days for primary children, Medieval Art Days for KS3 four Magna Cantata performances for KS2, a VI form conference, Wild in Art: paint your baron and To No One Courtroom drama for KS3
