How to Give

There are many ways you can donate including online, by cash, cheque, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Account or credit card. We can also set up standing orders or accept gifts of shares, and we are always very grateful for legacies.

From April this year, anyone leaving 10% of their taxable estate to charity will qualify for a reduced rate of inheritance tax. (This means your family won't have to pay as much tax to the Government). For more information please follow the link below to Legacy10 or phone Jilly Wright on 01722 555122.

Legacy10 is an independent campaign, launched in November 2011, to encourage charitable giving in the United Kingdom. Specifically, it is aimed at increasing the number of people across the UK who leave money to a charity in their will.

For online donations we use The BigGive which processes donations for us through the Charities Trust – terms and conditions are displayed on their website.

Alternatively please send donations to the Development Office, 6 The Close, Salisbury, SP1 2EF (we recommend you do not send cash by post). Please make cheques etc payable to Salisbury Cathedral. If you would like to make a donation by credit card over the telephone, or have any questions, please call Miss Katie Burfitt on 01722 555107 or email development@salcath.co.uk

However you decide to give, please consider Gift Aiding your donation which will allow us to reclaim a further 25% from the Inland Revenue – at no cost to you! You can download a Gift Aid form here, or tell us over the phone or by email that you want your donation to be Gift Aided.

Please contact the Development Team on 01722 555107 or email development@salcath.co.uk if you have any questions or for copies of our legacy leaflet, the Major Repair Programme Case for Support, or any other literature.
