To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the End of the Battle of the Somme : 1st July 1916 - 18 November 1916

 A range of WW1 - related exhibits and activities, inside Salisbury Cathedral and outside in the Cathedral grounds

  • 100 Hearts for 100 Years Exhibition in the Morning Chapel
  • WW1 Replica Bristol Scout Aircraft on the West Lawn
  • Replica WW1 Trench Facade and Living History on the West Lawn
  • WW1 - related Cathedral tours and talks please come to the Donation Desk.   Tours start at 11.45-12.00, 14.15-1430, 15.00-15.15 & 16.00-16.15
  • Memorial Book of the fallen in the St Michael's Chapel - a reading of fallen soldiers from the Dorset and Wiltshire Regiment will be read at 12.15
  • WW1 Crosses in the Cloisters

17:30   Somme Commemoration Evensong - supported by SSAFA; the Armed Forces Charity : 5.30pm
