Date:
Saturday 11th June 2016
14:00 - 17:00
West Lawn, FREE

Come and join the fun family activities on the Cathedral’s West lawn and help us celebrate Her Majesty’s official 90th Birthday!

Giant birthday cake – come and help us decorate the giant cake by writing birthday messages to the Queen.  How big can we make it?

Giant crown – help us decorate the enormous crown that will dominate the Cathedral lawns by adding red, white and blue posies

Make a crown – children can make and decorate their very own crown to wear on the day

Then go to the Selfie spot for a fun photo opportunity – children can pretend to be a King or Queen and sit on the mighty throne

Make a corsage or string of medals – cutting, tearing and sticking children can have fun making their very own decoration

Decorate a cup cake – using coloured icing and sugary pieces children can have fun designing their own topping

Fun photo shoot – another great photo opportunity!  Stand behind the Royal Carriage scene and have your picture taken as the Queen herself or Prince Phillip.

Bring a picnic and see local children’s royal bunting dance in the breeze!

Followed by a special Evensong at 17.30.

Free admission for everyone
