Jan Freeborn, Ecologist at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, will be talking about the Salisbury Cathedral bats followed by a bat search in the Cloisters.
There will be a short presentation about the lives of British bats and the mystery of the bats in the cathedral, followed by a walk round the cloisters and watching out for bats and listening to their echolocation calls on bat detectors. There will also be a chance to learn about the ways in which bats are studied in order to better understand their biology and ecology and as a result ensure their effective conservation and protection.
